Mark Lorenz worked in various projects in different positions, such as Lead Development, Software Architecture and Test Management. This gave him a deep insight into the problems programmers often face when dealing with efficient handling of databases. Therefore, he started to give workshops on effective and efficient database queries.
Today Mark Lorenz works mainly in the field of public transport. There, high-performance databases are an essential part of digitisation. He used many of the problems, that arise in this work, for his book "Advanced PostgreSQL Querying".
