Neue Wege der Transparenz, Partizipation und Kooperation in der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit
In the conflict between transparency, accountability, legitimacy and effec-tiveness regarding the field of international development this research paper seeks to analyze a rather new approach – the concept of Open Aid. Open Aid is thereby defined as the linkage of big, openly available development data with the goal to successfully achieve transparency, participatory and collaborative decision-making as well as implementation processes. The study provides an introduction about the emergence and definition of Open Aid. The central aspect of this work is represented by a comprehensive analysis of relevant actors and applications. As for the conclusion, possible evaluations, forecasts and recommendations are made.
